Tonights assignment, Smashing Pumpkins and Liz Phair at the Beacon Theater, NYC. The Beacon Theater is an awesome venue to see a concert at, but not my favorite to shoot at.  It can be challenging to say the least.  Theres no photographers pit so you are forced to shoot from the side and the back. To make things worse tonight both artists had minimal lighting. 🙁

As photographers we only get to shoot 3 Liz Phair played her first 3 acoustic with very few lights as did the Smashing Pumpkins with only Billy Corgan appearing with an acoustic guitar.

It’s alway nice to hear the voice sing the songs that we all know so well but overall the show, the first 3 songs at least, bored me.
