A long history between LA Guns and myself. Friends with original bassist Kelly Nickels since 1983 together we made our first trip out to Los Angeles in 1984. Through the years after Nickels departure from LA Guns the band continued on touring. Sometimes with two versions. One featuring Tracii Guns and the other featuring Singer Phil Lewis and Drummer Steve Riley. In 2019 fans get a reunion of Lewis and Tracii Guns and tried to play down the fact that Nickels and Riley weren’t asked to part of it.
May 4th, 2019 at Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, MD, Steve Riley, Kelly Nickels, singer Kurt Frohlich, and guitarist Scott Griffin debut the newest version of LA Guns. Check out some of my photos below!

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who grimaced seeing that it was a reunion withOUT Steve and your old roadie Kelly. I was googling online to see if the album had the pair … it didn’t and I didn’t buy. Yes, call me a music snob. I can take it. LOL Thanks Mike for putting these personal thoughts along with your photos. Nobody ever interviews the faceless photographer, but they have stories too!
